Apprenticeship
We have a small forty acre farm in northern MN. The vegitable side has a high tunnel 12X50, 3 acres tilled, 150 blueberry plants, and two bee hives. Our poultry side will have 3000 broilers, 100 turkeys, 100 layers, with onsite processing. We curently sell vegitable in three sites and poultry at 6 sites.
The current workforce consists of two youth workers, one very creative uncle, and myself.
We have a one bedroom cabin that is completly furnished.
Our production season is from April 1 to September 15 or so.
Hours are 7-4 M-F Every other weekend Weekends consist of chores and selling at the farmers market.
Aprentice would be involved in supervision of youth workers, marketing, daily operations, and operation planning.
Compensation would be room and board plus steipen.
Length of aprenticeship is June 1 to August 30
